Frequently asked questions
Question not here? Ask an engineer
Are the tools free to use?
Yes. All three tools are free and need no account or email address to see a result. You only share contact details if you choose to request a quote, and then only through the quote form on the same page, which goes straight to our engineering team.
Which tool should I start with?
Start with the expiry checker if you already have a study and are not sure it is still valid. Use the cost calculator if you need a scope for a budget or a purchase request. Open the sample report if you want to see exactly what you will receive before you buy.
Does a tool result replace an arc flash study?
No. The tools help you plan. Only a study of your actual equipment, built from field data and a system model to IEEE 1584-2018, gives incident energy values your labels and PPE choices can rely on. A tool result is a starting point for that conversation.
What happens after I request a quote from a tool page?
An engineer reviews your request and your result, asks for the one-line diagram if we need it, and sends a written quote within one business day. The quote states the scope, the field days, the deliverables and a fixed price for the work.
Do you keep the data I enter in a tool?
The tools run in your browser and store nothing. Google Analytics records an anonymous event with the options you picked, so we can see which tools help. Your name and contact details only reach us if you send the quote form. Our Privacy Policy explains the analytics and how to opt out.
Can I share a tool result with my team?
Yes. Take a screenshot or copy the summary into an email to your manager, your EHS lead or your purchasing team. When you request a quote, mention the result so the engineer who replies can start from the same numbers.
